Nora Hawley Obituary – Mrs. Lea Nora Hawley, who was 88 years old when she died away, was diagnosed with acute and chronic congestive heart failure on the day of her death at midnight at a hospital in St. Joseph, according to the information that was included on Mrs. A.A. Hawley’s death certificate. After the passing of her husband, Anson A. Hawley, on April 4, 1956, she found herself to be a widow.
Mrs. Leland D. Hawley and her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leland D. Hawley, made their home in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mrs. Leland D. Hawley was the matriarch of the Hawley family. The city of Chicago is where Mrs. Hawley spent her childhood. After moving to Omaha with their children, her parents, Louis Inks White and Martha Inks White, relocated the family to this region in 1907.
Mrs. Hawley was active in several groups, some of which include the St. Joseph Garden Club, the Ladies Aid Society, and the First Christian Church, all of which she had previously been a member of. Ralph E. Hawley of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Clyde L. Hawley of Clearwater, Florida, are her other two sons, and they are among the people who will be able to carry on her legacy after she has passed away. The Reverend Wallace E. Wolfe will serve as the ceremony’s host and preside over the event. Interments can be performed in the Cemetery and Memorial Park.
